Leviticus 11:42-47

42Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, any swarming thing that swarms on the ground, you shall not eat, for they are detestable. 43 aYou shall not make yourselves detestable with any swarming thing that swarms, and you shall not defile yourselves with them, and become unclean through them. 44For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and bbe holy, for I am holy. cYou shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground. 45 dFor I am the Lord who brought you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God. eYou shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.”

46This is the law about beast and bird and every living creature that moves through the waters and every creature that swarms on the ground, 47 fto make a distinction between the unclean and the clean and between the living creature that may be eaten and the living creature that may not be eaten.

Mark 7:18-20

18And he said to them, Then gare you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, 19since it enters not his heart hbut his stomach, and is expelled?”

Acts 10:14-16

14But Peter said, “By no means, Lord; lfor I have never eaten anything that is mcommon or nunclean.” 15And the voice came to him again a second time, oWhat God has made clean, do not call common.” 16This happened three times, and the thing was taken up at once to heaven.

Acts 10:28

28And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew pto associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but qGod has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.

Acts 11:8-10

8But I said, ‘By no means, Lord; for nothing common or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’ 9But the voice answered a second time from heaven, What God has made clean, do not call common.’ 10This happened three times, and all was drawn up again into heaven.

Acts 15:20-21

20but should write to them rto abstain from sthe things polluted by idols, and from tsexual immorality, and from uwhat has been strangled, and from vblood. 21For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, wfor he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues.”

Romans 14:17
