42 Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, any swarming thing that swarms on the ground, you shall not eat, for they are detestable. 43 ^aYou shall not make yourselves detestable with any swarming thing that swarms, and you shall not defile yourselves with them, and become unclean through them. 44 For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and ^bbe holy, for I am holy. ^cYou shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground. 45 ^dFor I am the Lord who brought you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God. ^eYou shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.”

46 This is the law about beast and bird and every living creature that moves through the waters and every creature that swarms on the ground, 47 ^fto make a distinction between the unclean and the clean and between the living creature that may be eaten and the living creature that may not be eaten.

Mark 7:18-20

18 And he said to them, “Then ^gare you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, 19 since it enters not his heart ^hbut his stomach, and is expelled?” ^{▼▼Greek goes out into the latrine} ( ^jThus he declared all foods clean.) 20 And he said, ^k“What comes out of a person is what defiles him.

Acts 10:14-16

14 But Peter said, “By no means, Lord; ^lfor I have never eaten anything that is ^mcommon or ⁿunclean.” 15 And the voice came to him again a second time, ^o“What God has made clean, do not call common.” 16 This happened three times, and the thing was taken up at once to heaven.

Acts 10:28

28 And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew ^pto associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but ^qGod has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.

Acts 11:8-10

8 But I said, ‘By no means, Lord; for nothing common or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’ 9 But the voice answered a second time from heaven, ‘What God has made clean, do not call common.’ 10 This happened three times, and all was drawn up again into heaven.

Acts 15:20-21
